Clever girl

Tabitha is learning where everything is but the demonstration was interrupted by the arrival of a birdie!
There is a team of people here from America at the moment. One of them brought me a present from Aunt Barb. It was very exciting.
I love all the little surprises Aunt Barb sends me.
I particularly enjoyed the jelly sweets but mummy and daddy made me share with them!
Thanks Aunt Barb!

Mummy was right!

Mummy was right to submit me to the torture of the lab staff at the hospital in an effort to see if there was something wrong in my belly. She says that she will be reminding me many times in the future that she is always right!

It turns out that there is a nasty bug called E' coli in my belly. The doctor told mummy to get me some medicine which is rather tasty. Here I am with my medicine and some of the different types of milk I have been taking as everyone was trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

Picking Material

On Wednesday mummy and daddy went to pick material for some new curtains. I went with them to make sure they didn't make a bad choice! The floor was a little slippy but there was lots of space to run up and down the aisles. I decided last Saturday that walking is the way forward. Everyone else seems to do it and besides, you can walk and hold food in your hand at the same time which you can't do when you're crawling!

Mexican Food

Nonie (Daddy's mummy) was commenting on the fact that recently it appears that all I do is eat! Well it's not really true but this post won't do anything to disprove that! Here I am with Daddy when we took Katherine and Caroline out for a really gorgeous Mexican food called Pozole...
...and them just before they left we had Tamales for breakfast. It was my first time to eat both things too. Tamales are a breakfast food. It is corn meal with fillings (usually chilli) covered in a corn leaf. Mummy didn't let me eat the chilli ones but there was a sweet one which I loved. From the looks on Caroline and Katherine's faces they might rather have had the chilli ones in the evening rather than first thing in the morning!

Where to go for food.

I have learned that if I need a snack all I have to do is locate my nappy (diaper) bag. It usually has a good supply of lovely snacks in it, especially before we go out. Just before going out one day this week I found this yummy banana.

Continuing health Story

I am feeling much better than last week. Thanks for your prayers. I am still taking antihistamines but I have had a much better appetite and the blotches seem to be gone for good.

Yesterday though I was back in the hospital. First I went with mummy and Tia Esther for her check up after her operation then mummy decided that she didn't like the look or smell of my poos so we went off to a lab where a nice lady did some not so nice things. Hopefully we'll find out once and for all what has been making my belly feel funny.

What makes it feel rather good is a sight like this...
...mmm, yummy doughnuts!

Blotchy

When I got up this morning everything was proceeding as normal until mummy changed my nappy (diaper). I was read and blotchy all over. Mummy decided we wouldn't go to church and we would probably have to see the doctor. I went to bed and slept for four hours and when daddy got back from church we went to the hospital. Mummy and Daddy weren't sure if I had chicken pox but it turns out I have had an allergic reaction to something. We have no idea what. I got a steroid jab in my bum (which was no fun) and then I got a lollipop (which was wonderful!). I've also got to take antihistamine drops and special milk.

It doesn't feel sore or itchy but it doesn't look very pretty. The worst part was my belly ad under my arms. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be all back to normal.

I hit the Jackpot!

Mummy and Daddy went to a training seminar yesterday and took me along with them. They had lots of toys and snacks to keep me busy. Usually they let me hold the bag for myself. I know how to open a ziplock and I know how to get the snacks out, I'm just not sure when to stop putting them in my mouth and usually end up putting too many in!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw there were two rice cakes and they let me have both of them! I also had a special seat - my car seat.

Kiss anyone?

I just love to give kisses! When mummy or daddy say it's time for 'night night' I point to each person in the room one by one to make sure they know who is next for kisses.
I'm not so sure they were queuing up for kisses just after I'd had toast and marmalade but at least Daddy was game!

Another outing

Yesterday we took Caroline and Katherine to see the Basilica. There are some lovely gardens and some cool waterfalls. Today we were supposed to be going to the pyramids but mummy decided that she and I should stay at home so I could get decent naps before the weekend. So they've gone with daddy.

A baw-dee (birdie)

Our garden is where all the cool birds come. These little birdies come and drink sugar water and mummy seems to love that. She's not so happy about the bigger birdies that come and eat the blackberries!

Just being cute

I know what I want for breakfast, I just have to hope that mummy and daddy know too!

Still nowhere to sit!

I found this empty cupboard and it's becoming a favourite place for me. Poor little me with no other place to sit...and only one sock...don't I look miserable?!The bottom stair is my other favourite place and I could sit here for a long time...
...it's not exactly a comfy recliner!

Not exactly a TV dinner...

...it's more of a computer breakfast because Daddy was showing Caroline and Katherine my favourtie Boola and Kwala website. I think they loved it too!

Helping

I like to help mummy. She let me help her clean the fireplace the other day. Actually it was mostly my mess!

Climbing into small spaces

Any box is unchartered territory that has to be investigated
Some places are more hidden but I can still get into them!

Cat hunting

It's very common to see cats and/or dogs outside our house. So much so that as our car stops outside I usually point out the window and say, "ca" or "daw-day" (doggie). Sometimes mummy and daddy let me get close. This one comes up if we say, "pssswwssswwwsss" but after this it batted me with it's paw!

Eating Mexican Food!

The Mexicans squeeze fresh lime on lots of things. I quite like it as it is!
My first Bon-Ice. Hopefully there will be many more to come. These are sold at traffic lights, in traffic jams and anywhere along the road so it shouldn't be hard for mum and dad to get me more.
This is a Payasso (literally means clown). No explanation needed - I knew exactly what to do with a marshmallow covered in chocolate!

A day out.

Tuesday was a public holiday so we went out with some friends from the church. We had a yummy picnic in a park...
...and I played with Carlitos.
Then we saw some animals.
There are animals there - honest!
Giraffes in the distance. There were lots of animals but lots were sleeping and didn't come out. But it was free so that was ok.
Riding up on Dad's shoulders gave me a better view of everything.
But I love to walk as long as someone holds my hand. If both my hands are held I love to run!

Messy but fun!

I already know when I get can get away with things I wouldn't normally. When mum and dad are on the phone is the best time. So while mum was on Skype I got into a chocolate which I got at church on 'Day of the Child'. It was very good and mum did a great job of the clean up too though that wasn't quite as enjoyable!

Getting comfy

It's time mum and dad got me a seat to sit on. I have a hard time getting comfy in my own living room!
It's ok, but it's home-made and could be a lot better.
