Arty?

Mummy and Daddy thought it would be cute but I thought it was cold and a little precarious to be hanging from Daddy's hands wearing just my nappy (diaper)!

Bubble Machine

I got this cool bubble machine for my birthday and I'm pretty good at using it...when I don't point it at my face!
I'm still not sure I've got it right. Best to protect my eyes just in case!
Yep, that's how it should be - the bubbles go away from me

Sucking my fingers?

Not me, I was just resting on them

Just like my sister!

I like to suck! Here's my range of soothers...the blue one...
...and the clear one. I'm not fussy, as long as they're not pink hand-me-downs!

Here is a short video of the party. (I could bring myself to hit Dora the Piñata.)

My friends

This is Gary. He likes to run so I'm asking him if he thinks my legs are up to it yet.
Look! Tia Margaret and I match!

Putting a face to the voice

Now that I'm able to keep my eyes open for a little longer than a few seconds and that I seem to be able to focus a little better it's fascinating to meet the people whose voices I've been hearing for the past few months.
But enough's enough! I've been awake for a couple of minutes now so where's my milk?

Party

My birthday lasted for two days - I had my party today and it was great fun. I finally got to put the sweeties in the piñata. I haven't been able to stop singing the song for days!
Mummy and Daddy made this fabby Dora cake but I was too scared to blow out the candle.
This is the 'give me cake' dance. We were very excited...and that's before the sugar rush!
Patiently waiting and picking out the piece that has our favourite sweeties on top!
I was a little distressed to finally see my precious piñata obliterated and I didn't want to hit it myself but I did enjoy singing the song as usual!
It was nice to get the things that were inside though. These cool balloons whistle really loudly and work over and over again. Mum and Dad might regret buying those!
Stocked up with sweeties to last 'til the next party.
I got some more presents. At first I though Tio Leroy and Tia Kay had bought me a dolphin but when I realised it was a fish I decided to call him Nemo. I'm very excited and like to look at him every 5 seconds or so.
Jonny and Julie gave me some cool things too so it's only appropriate to say thank you with a kiss.

I am 2!

Wednesday was fun - it was my birthday and I went round all day singing "Happy to you!"
I got this cool easel - it has a blackboard...
...a roll of paper I can paint on...
...and a board I can write on with pen and then rub out - that's better than when I write on the sofa (and Mummy and Daddy don't get cross!)
A pretty, pretty fairy dress!
This was one of my favourites. I really didn't need anything else!
This new swing is so relaxing. I like to pretend to be asleep in it. Do you see that I got my first grazed knee? Daddy cleaned it and put a sticker on it!
The presents were wonderful...and the packaging was fun for a while too!

Calling Nonnie

Oscar was less motivated for a Skype call to Nonnie than I was!

Multifunctional Blankie

Daddy made my blankie into a princess dress. I thought it made me very pretty...
I can't do without it when I'm tired though.

A secret weapon!

The other day Oscar needed two baths! This was the first...
...the second was pandemonium! Daddy was on the phone and Mummy decided to change Oscar's nappy (diaper). She found out that she was too late and Oscar had poo-ed everywhere. It was enough to make me want a nappy change too but I'm big enough now to take my nappy off myself so I did. Oscar was crying because he doesn't like to be cold. I tried to 'shush' him but he wouldn't listen so I smacked him on the face. I think that made him mad. When Daddy got off the phone he gave Oscar a bath and mummy put on my new nappy (I still can't do that myself). Mummy had been worried that I would leak on the carpet even though I had no intention of it! I went over to watch Daddy and then Oscar did a terrible thing - he aimed his pee pees at me - right out of the bath! Mummy grabbed me out of the way and scared the wits out of me but thankfully I think she did save me from the brunt of the attack! I'll be much more careful in the future about how close I get to the bath!

More of my missionary family

This evening I met Tio Leroy and Tia Kay for the first time. I find Tio Leroy's arms very comfy and as long as the milk continued to come on demand I could stay there for a very long time!

Another family outing

This time we went for a walk so the mode of transportation changed. I get to sit up high and see everything that's going on...
...while Oscar sleeps below me. I get some funny looks from passers by when Oscar cries because he's kind of hidden in there!

Swimwear

Daddy found this great new swimsuit for me. It has floats built into it which means I don't have to wear that waistcoat, that I don't like, in the water.
Problem is I've lost the water...
Oh there's some! Can't wait 'til the next time I get to go swimming though!

What the doctor ordered!

A little time in the sun every day should see my skin change colour from a yellowy tinge to a nice bronze glow! How far away is the beach?

10 little fingers

Incredible tiny hands. What a gift from God!
Tia Margaret + Tia Robin brought this balloon to the clinic.
I like it's message!

Part of the gang

I think I'm still the newest member. Thanks José and Audrey for the bib!

All aboard

Today we had our first family outing...to Costco!

Magnum

I got to finish a Magnum today. I really enjoyed it as you can see.
The clean up was less enjoyable

Mios

"Mios" is a word I use frequently. It means 'mine' but I was told that in fact neither the seat or the blankie are mine. Shame, I really like them both.

Happy Valentine's Day

Tia Margaret and Tia Robin gave me a Valentine's lolly...and I got another haircut. I didn't cry this time but I sat on Daddy's knee and said, "No want! No want!" a lot to make sure everyone knew that I still wasn't too happy about losing my precious hair!

A cooking session

I'm making a casserole with crushed Ritz crackers on top. It's very yummy.
Oh, forget the casserole, I'll just have the crackers.

Mummy time

Touch is not my love language but since I've seen how Oscar seem to enjoy his cuddles I like to get in on them too. Mummy seems to have plenty of cuddles for both of us.

More visitors

This was a very special visit. Robin and Bebe were only here for one week and I was still in mummy's tummy when they came over for dinner. The next day I decided it was time to leave mummy's tummy and I think they were happy I did so they got to see me!
Some of our neighbors have come to visit. This is Tabitha's friend Aransa...but I was very hungry and it's hard for me to be sociable or even to think of more than one thing at a time!
