Party Day

Helping Nanny to make buns for my party and cheered on by Oscar.
Balloons, piñatas, decorations...just need to go and get changed!
Better
Hanging out on the trampoline with Ameliawould you believe it we had a British style birthday party and even the weather complied - it rained almost the whole time the party was on!
Flexibility - we can do it inside!
Oscar has a go at Tabitha's piñata...
Tabitha has at Oscar'sThen time for cake...which Oscar LOVED.
Here he shows Amelia how to make the most of it.
Oops, did I make a mess?

The cake

Mummy had an ambitious idea for our cake this year. She managed to rope in some extra help. Gloria - chief fondant colourer and roller...
Tia robin - chief letter writer and piper...
Mummy made the characters and daddy painted on the faces and ta da - a cake was born

Presents

Oscar seems happy with the paper but I'm interested in what's inside
Books from Aunty Emma which are incredibly appropriate
You know how I love to bake. What a perfect present!
Reading Oscar's new book all about him.
A musical card.
Now how long will it take before everyone gets fed up with me playing the tune inside?

Art attack

My first art lesson from nanny but I'll need to taste test them before I get into it too much.

Out of the box

Normally Nanny and Granda are inside the computer but they came out and now they're in our house!
They brought lots of presents which we opened over Skype.

Driving along...

Bribed into goodness by mummy but worth it for a ride in our favourite car.

The usual

Not sure about Tia Margaret's personalised drink but mine rarely changes...

Helping?

Mummy was making an awful lot of changes to our sleeping accommodation last week. Tabitha's bed was moved into my room and when the mattress was gone I was able to climb up to look out the window myself (something I love to do). Tabitha discovered that it makes an exceptional noise when she tap danced on it too!
We had the best time rolling around on Tabitha's airbed. Made it a little harder for mummy to make the bed though...
but she kept at it and it was just as much fun to play on when made up.

Valentines

Happy Valentines everyone! Here in Mexico it is called the Day of Love and Friendship. If you love us or are our friend then we gave God special thanks for you this week.
Mummy and I got back to baking...
Lesson for this week - A good cook cleans as she goes and there's a perfect opportunity for it while waiting for the dough to chill.
A Tabitha sized piece
Friends to share my cookies with.
Do you see them in the basket in the foreground (that's the cookies, not my friends!)?

Painting outside again

I can't figure out if mummy thinks being outside will inspire me or keep the house clean...

We interrupt this broadcast...

Mummy and Daddy abandoned us for a night this week and now they have the cheek to hijack our blog to tell you about it. They say they went to a little town about 2.5 hours from Mexico City called San Miguel de Allende. Christian and Robin went too. The best part of it all was that all the kids got to hang out together with Tia Margaret and Tia Robin which was a complete blast. We'll let mum and dad take over the commentary from here.
Having fought with various people getting sick over the last little while we wondered if this trip was going to be possible. It was a huge relief to leave 6 (just about) healthy kids behind knowing that they were going to have the best time and it was relaxing just to know they were well taken care of.
This little town is just too gorgeous to describe. Every street is unique and colonial and packed with art shops, cafes and beautiful houses.
As we wandered around we just kept the camera busy...

Even looking into people's houses and taking pictures.
Looking relaxed...
This beautiful little town on the way out. We could have stayed here for days and soaked it all in. We feel so blessed to have been able to enjoy this little window with great friends in a busy spell for all of us.

So what's the deal? Are you just going to make me wait or do I get to see what's inside?
Something legitimate to beat the life out of!
Very clearly a boys' toy.
Getting help to blow out the candles from my birthday choir
My first 'mordida'

Doctor...or dentist?

Oscar and I both went to the doctor this week and got vaccinations. My doctor gave me a lolly. I think he has an arrangement with the dentist...

Early bird

Waking up earlier than Tabitha one morning I got to watch Praise Baby and sit in her chair...
...but it was a short-lived privilege!

Day off

This week we went with all the missionaries on a long car trip but it was well worth the wait... a water park with thermal water. Kind of like a big huge bath with massive bath toys!
No fear!
Wonder if it was this much fun for Jonah...
Can you see me? I'm in the splash. This slide was a little faster than I expected.
Exhausting hanging by the pool all day.
