Making music

This is one of my best friends from church. He's called Luis and on Saturday we had great fun playing the drums. We made lots of noise. Very enjoyable! Noemi was on hand to help too.

Learning my colours

This game has different coloured cups and dice. Mummy puts the cups out one by one and says some funny words which are supposed to mean something. Then she repeats one of the words and I'm supposed to point at the right cup. I always seem to get it wrong. What is fun though is pouring the dice from one cup to another. I can learn colours another time!

Pan (bread)

Mummy and Daddy had a meeting on Thursday morning with Alex and Paty and they took me. They got me pan (I don't know what it's called in English!) which I love. I also walked around the other tables and said hello to everyone. One nice lady gave me one of her chips (fries). When I finished it I went back and helped myself to another one off her plate. I'm sure she didn't mind!

Out in the garden

There's been quite a lot of rain recently so I'm just checking to see if there's more on the way or if it's safe to go out.
Thankfully it doesn't usually last all day so I can still do a spot of gardening.
Gardening is a job that requires patience and tender care - but look at the success of my work!

Daddy's day off

Daddy made me lunch on Tuesday and we just ate it as it came out of the pan. It's a much more exciting way to eat food!
Then we went to the park
It was quite hot so Daddy made sure I always had my hat on.

Jonny and Julie

Do you remember Jonny and Julie from ages ago? There are photos of them in our house in N. Ireland. The great thing is that they are here in Mexico now and they came to visit us this week. Unfortunately we didn't have any comfy seats for them to sit on as we were supposed to get new ones but they haven't arrived yet.
Julie wrote me a fabby story and 'Squircle' - the not quite square, not quite circle who didn't know where he fit in...but I'll not spoil the end of the story. Jonny made it all fancy with pictures on the computer. It was great - I'm waiting for the sequel!
They brought cool toys over. Daddy was able to hide and I could still hear him and he could hear me. Tango, alpha, brava, indigo, tango, hotel, alpha - over and out!
Got the walkie-talkie and the glasses to match!

Another birthday present!

I can't even remember my birthday it was so long ago but I couldn't believe it when I got a birthday present in the post this week. It was posted back in May and only arrived this week - it must have come by birdie post and the birdie got lost!
It was worth the wait - a new book! It's about a mole who gets into lots of the wrong beds before he finds his own bed. There's a mole that you push through the pages and he comes out the other side in someone else's bed. It's very exciting!
I also got a lovely new outfit and it will still fit!

Practicing being mummy's helper

I was very excited one morning when I woke up because I got a new baby. She has nappies (diapers) which are far too big for her but maybe she'll grow into them. I love her to bits and regularly pat her back and say, "ssshhhh" to help her sleep and feel safe. I also give her lots of kisses which she really likes.
But baby no. 1 needn't worry - I still love her too and I will make sure to be a good mummy to both of them!

A sweet tooth

There's a game called chubby bunnies and I think I would like it. You put a marshmallow in your mouth and say, "chubby bunnies". You then take another one and see if you can still say chubby bunnies. The winner is the person who can put the most marshmallows in their mouth and still say, "chubby bunnies"
I've got the technique - only eat half the marshmallow. But I've got to learn to say, "chubby bunnies" with my mouth empty first!
Last Monday we celebrated 2 birthday's - Jonny's and Tia Robin's. We had a bar-be-que but the best bit was the chocolate birthday cake and Tio Leroy's homemade ice-cream which were both very yummy.
At church today someone gave me a blue lolly. It made a real mess but it was fun...and tasty.

My blankie

As long as I have blankie I can sleep anywhere!

Lots of people

This week the team came to our house and mummy made some yummy food. I had great fun and lots of attention but I had to give lots of kisses before bed time!

Food...again!

No-one told me that I have the right to say no to foods I don't like but I've figured it out for myself. There are certain things that are much more tasty than others...like crisps...
...and just about anything with tomato sauce...though it was a bit of a concern when I got it all over me this week!
Then there are fruit and vegetables. I can tell them a mile off and I am resolved to never let them pass my lips again. Though Daddy makes some delicious juice in the morning and I think they might be tricking me! If only fruit could always be this tasty!

Bookworm

I can't tell you how much I love books. Daddy rearranged the bookshelf so that I can get at my books. I find great pleasure in pulling them off the shelf one by one, having a look at the ones that take my fancy and throwing them on the floor. It's not as much fun putting them back on th shelf again!

Birdies!

We posted the photos a couple of weeks ago of Tabitha getting some presents from home. We thought you might like to see some of her sheer excitement when she got these birdies with real bird calls which are produced by a society that protects birds back at home called the RSPB. The video speaks for itself. Thank you so much Miriam for the gift!

Indoor Picnic

On Saturday night mummy and daddy ordered a pizza and we had a pizza picnic in the living room. It was yummy!
There were also some pizza bread sticks covered in cinnamon which were good...
...but mummy made some yummy sweet sauce with icing sugar and it was lovely.
I love dipping things in sauce!

Big drink!

Everyone should have one of these cups for when they're really, really thirsty!

My week in a nutshell

Last Sunday night I was sick and I didn't feel good on Monday either. Mummy and Daddy went away and left me with Tia Margaret and Tia Robin on Monday and Tuesday and I only saw them in the evenings. I wasn't sure at the start what was going on but I had a lot of fun with my Tias. Then on Wednesday mummy and Daddy took me with them and I found out that they had been going to church for a club with lots and lots of kids. I was fascinated by all the balloons and pictures. Did you know that in Mexico even the sheep don't speak English? Here they say, "beeee" not, "baaaaa" - and I thought I knew all the animal noises!
On Thursday evening we all went to Tia Margaret and Tia Robin's house again for a meeting. I most enjoyed accompanying Maddie on piano as she played the violin!
Mummy had the cold and left her tissue box lying around. Not only are they great fun to pull out of the box but I know how to use them too. You blow lightly into each one just once and then you throw it on the floor!

Not quite sure what this is all about!

I have an announcement but I'm not quite sure exactly what it's all about. Mummy made me a new t-shirt...
...then this week I got to play with the MacKinnons and when mummy and daddy came back they had this photo.
It sounds like I'm going to get another baby. I hope it's just like the Baby I have now!

Another team from N. Ireland...

...another exciting delivery of presents! Mummy says that some of these clothes are for her this time because soon she's going to get very fat!
A very nice lady from home sent me 3 more RSPB birdies. I was so excited I couldn't stop giggling and saying, "baw-die!"
My cousins Rebekah and Hannah sent me this Cinderella dress that they are too big for now. I hope they keep sending me princess dresses!
Daddy showed me my new Leap pad book which I love.
He made me my beautiful necklace too.
I think my friend Gary might have been a little jealous...but you can see how happy I am with all my presents!

Drama Queen!

It might be genetic, it might be watching mummy and daddy on platforms but whenever I see one I just have to get up and perform. On Saturday I found this raised platform which gave me the perfect opportunity to further develop my entertaining skills.
My applause please!
Getting the pose right
Oooo, you're too kind!
What about a quick dance?
Ach, that still needs some practice!

Improvisation

Daddy helped me put together this pram so I don't have to push Baby on my cart. It's a shopping trolley but it makes a pretty good pram...and he even let me play with one of his old teddies!

Sticky Notes

Mummy left these cool sticky notes out for me to find this week. After I had pulled them all apart I found out...
...that I could stick them all over me. Great fun. I hope she makes the mistake of leaving them out again for me to play with!
