Stars made and in the making

Tabitha and Oscar have an affinity from the microphone (we're not sure how that could possibly have happened!). We have many impromptu shows. First Oscar shows off his reading ability...

Then they encounter Hi-5 who found 2 very enthusiastic supporters.

Fiesta

Tabitha has been very excited all week about our neighbour, Paty's, birthday party on Saturday. All week she's been watching Hi-5 and saying that they are coming out of the T.V. for the occasion and that she is going to get glue in her hair.
After the hairstyle it was on to nails...
...then the face...
...and hey presto - a princess ready to meet her heroes (of the week!)
Oscar is almost bouncing on the bouncy castle - got all the action...without allowing his feet to lose contact with the surface
But the most exciting part was when Hi-5 came through the door and started their show. Tabitha was out to impress and answer all the questions.
Oscar was caught up in the excitement too.
Trying to keep up with the actions with the birthday girl
(even though princesses don't usually wear cow's ears!)
Neighbourhood girls together
and after Paty (who was rightfully first) Tabitha was hot on her tail to have a go at releasing those sweets (a far cry from earlier days where she was terrified to hold the stick)

Coskis (coss-kees)

Coskis, our neighbours dog, came to stay with us on Saturday.
I was very, very, very excited!
I learned that dogs don't really like grass so much...
...but I also learned that a nice juicy bit of steak goes down a treat...and helps me clean my plate!

Learning curve

There's so much we can learn from Daddy.
He tells me this is a man's job so I've started learning already.
Under Daddy's direction Tabitha did an amazing ladybird painting
And this mess? Well, that's mummy unsuccessfully trying to stain fluff with food colouring. Tabitha wasn't convinced from the outset. But I see a lion in the cloud on the right.
What do you see?

Indoor fun

It's not quite like the beaches I'm used to but it was fun nevertheless
Yep, in the soft play tunnel again!
I'm not too happy about the safety harness arrangement here

Baby Ben

Besides us Baby Ben is the only missionary kid here in Mexico at the moment. I seem to have taken him by surprise...
or perhaps he's just telling me that his eyes are bluer than mine.

On Safari

This week we went on safari.
Cheeky things want my lolly!
I don't know whether to be excited or scared
Oh, forget scared, they seem harmless...
This little llama was born a few hours before we arrived
Never been to a safari park with dinosaurs before!
I'm not sure about getting closer - this one seem to be protecting her eggs
This one seems nice and friendly
The otters are definitely friendly
Out on the paddle boat
Daddy, do you think the crocodile is going to eat the turtle?

Food and fun

Out in the pool but it was going flat
So mummy got a new one but there are so many fun ways to use it rather than putting water in it
More fun at lunch time

Taken to the fair

Obligatory carousel ride. This one lasted so long we were bored and dizzy by the end!
Paty opts out and Daddy opts on to this scary ride.
It's just like real driving in Mexico - quite bumpy and the drivers do crazy things.
Don't take too much Daddy, there's not a lot left
Our take home gift.

Long story short...

I'm opening a salon and calling it 'Goldi-no-locks' after my self-styling debut on Saturday.

Kissable

An angel all the time
Night-night kisses for Tabitha...
...but there are plenty for anyone who wants one... and I've perfected the pout don't you think?

Errmm...

I'm not sure about the dignity of this but Tabitha exudes an air of authority so better to just lie still I think.

Xochitla (saw-cheet-la)

Daddy had his day off on Monday this week and we went to the park.
Looks like I'm on my own...
but I am flanked by my uniformed bodyguards!
Only a fool would pass on some cuddling from the ladies!
Tabitha finds a friendly ladybird
Tio Leroy is my favourite
This looks tricky so I'd better try it out.
Sharing out the liquid ration
Better still, a trip to MacDonalds... and a dodgy photo of everyone... except Tia Kay.
