On Safari

To turn the sadness of Nanny and Granda's last day into a happy occasion we all went on Safari. First animal encountered was this friendly little goat (in the farm part!).
Now what would these poor sheep do if I wasn't here to feed them?
Daddy, will you ask how much we could buy one of these for?
Sure I'll look after it for you!
Like everything else Oscar sizes up the poor little fella for his nutritional value
Hey, is anybody else going to take care of these animals?
There you go big fella. I'm thinking though that you'll need a little more to eat than what we have to offer...
Shall I eat you or are you going to eat me?
Are you sure this safari is safe?
Quick, run mummy, there are lions and tigers around.

Bubbles and Wands

There's still a trick or two in this dress
I love my new bubble machine from nanny but if anyone has a good bubble mix recipe please send it to my mummy as the big bottle nanny gave me probably isn't going to last very long!

Definitely an advantage

Now that I can get myself onto the table I think I have a lot more scrounging power.

New reader

Normally Nanny reads us stories but I like the way Granda reads them too.

Hodilays!

On Monday we were all packed into the car with lots of suitcases for a long drive... with stops.
The swimsuits are always easy to access
but it seems the pool may be a little more tricky to get at.
You go on ahead into the depths. I'm quite happy here in the shallows.
Lets play architects and engineers.
Big smile. Food must be around!
Big smile. Must be pool time!
No food, no pool, so why are you asking us to smile?

Exploring higher

I've discovered another dimension to explore - vertical
If I take it in stages I can get quite high...
and the effort can be well rewarded.

Pyramids

Last Sunday was extra especially busy as we went to the Pyramids after church with Nanny, Granda and Gloria.

Granda and I follow in the footsteps of the ancient warriors as we run up the avenue of the dead. Nasty thought but fun at the time!
Who'll be the first to the top? These steps go up to my thighs...
but I made it all by myself!
Another fearsome warrior charged with a bottle of milk commences his ascent...
...to find it was already conquered by friendlier looking climbers.

A parcel

Parcels are very exciting! We got one this week and it was full of goodies from our home group in Edinburgh. Happy Christmas and thank you!

Party Day

Helping Nanny to make buns for my party and cheered on by Oscar.
Balloons, piƱatas, decorations...just need to go and get changed!
Better
Hanging out on the trampoline with Ameliawould you believe it we had a British style birthday party and even the weather complied - it rained almost the whole time the party was on!
Flexibility - we can do it inside!
Oscar has a go at Tabitha's piƱata...
Tabitha has at Oscar'sThen time for cake...which Oscar LOVED.
Here he shows Amelia how to make the most of it.
Oops, did I make a mess?

The cake

Mummy had an ambitious idea for our cake this year. She managed to rope in some extra help. Gloria - chief fondant colourer and roller...
Tia robin - chief letter writer and piper...
Mummy made the characters and daddy painted on the faces and ta da - a cake was born

Presents

Oscar seems happy with the paper but I'm interested in what's inside
Books from Aunty Emma which are incredibly appropriate
You know how I love to bake. What a perfect present!
Reading Oscar's new book all about him.
A musical card.
Now how long will it take before everyone gets fed up with me playing the tune inside?

Art attack

My first art lesson from nanny but I'll need to taste test them before I get into it too much.

Out of the box

Normally Nanny and Granda are inside the computer but they came out and now they're in our house!
They brought lots of presents which we opened over Skype.
